The Beginning

There's nothing more intimidating than a blank page. That's the only thought that's entered my mind since I clicked onto the new post button to write my first ever blog post. For years I've always wanted to start my own blog but I've always found excuses not to, either I wouldn't have enough time to actually write it, or I was worried it would suck and people wouldn't bother to read it. Or worse yet what if people did actually read it and laughed at me? But here I am, granted it's taken me a few years to finally set this up but I'm finally doing it.
So I suppose I should introduce myself, my name's Leah, I'm 20 years old, and a soon to be English and Creative Writing student at university. I adore reading books and occasionally I attempt writing them, but I'm so disorganized that they usually just turn into scrap paper or food for the shredder. But that's the main reason I'm going to university, I want to improve my writing skills and bring myself one step closer to having a career in the writing industry. I am an avid tea and coffee drinker, I am often mocked for my Britishness as I personally believe there's no finer way to spend your time than with a cup of tea, biscuit and a bloody good novel.
For some reason whenever I write about me's they always end up turning into lists, I'm terrible at them so I'm going to leave you with that small snippet of insight into me. If you want to find out more then I guess you'll just have to keep reading.
